RRC Group D Full Syllabus details :

Railway RRC Group – D Syllabus Details : Full Syllabus details of RRC Group-D Examination for the posts of Assistant Pointsman, Assistant Bridge, Helper, Hospital Attendant, Gateman, Track Maintainer Grade-IV, etc. The Syllabus details are given below.

The Examination will be conducted in four Stages:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT),
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Computer Based Test (CBT)

The exam duration is 90 minutes. The CBT is of scoring in nature. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. The exam will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions only.

Mathematics:

Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Square root, Age Calculations, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Pipes & Cistern,  Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Calendar & Clock.

General Intelligence:

Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Mathematical operations, Coding and Decoding, Syllogism, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and  Assumptions.

General Awareness:

Current affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subject.

General Science:

Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature.
  • Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Three times the community wise total vacancy.
  • The criterion for PET is as under:
Male candidatesFemale candidates
Carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes;

And

Run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

Carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes;

And

Run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

Important Points:

  1. The Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as specified in Para 11.0 are exempted from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for PwBD.
  2. It is the candidates responsibility to ensure that they are medically fit enough to attempt the PET. Railways will not be responsible for any injury/harm suffered by candidates as a result of participating in the PET.
